January's success stories: MyCarNeedsA, Toppa, Stay Nimble & GenieConnect

We started 2019 on a high with four more companies joining the ranks of our successful clients.

MyCarNeedsA.com is an online comparison site for routine car services, maintenance, and MoTs, giving car owners an easy and convenient way to compare quotes from pre-approved (checked for quality) local garages in terms of price, services offered and customer ratings. They were seeking to raise £900,000 on Seedrs and opened their campaign to the crowd in November. The company started the year with a bang by hitting its crowdfunding target and, at the time of writing, has raised in excess of £975,000.

Toppa was next to hit its target on Seedrs. Founded by two former soldiers, Toppa is a learning app designed to connect business learners and employees with the knowledge and expertise of entrepreneurs from around the world. Toppa secured leisure tycoon David Lloyd as a Business Partner and major investor in this campaign Since hitting its £150,000 target, Toppa’s campaign has been going from strength to strength.

And as all good things come in threes, Stay Nimble was the third to hit its target on Seedrs. Stay Nimble is a social enterprise that provides a digital career and work performance coaching service. Their ambition is to help millions across the world to see how their natural aptitudes can be directed to learning new skills and, ultimately, more easily change jobs. They opened their campaign to the public at the start of December and hit their £150,000 target earlier this month and are still open for investment for a few more days.

Last but not least, Service Robotics launched its public campaign for its companion robot, GenieConnect®, on Crowdcube and hit its £120,000 target in less than 36 hours. GenieConnect® addresses one of the major challenges faced by our society at the moment. It is an intelligent, personalised, robot companion service that supports extended independent living with companionship & memory stimulation software for older adults. The campaign remains open for overfunding.
